Thank you for this sweet post! Loving the joy list (need to try that!)
As for flu/grumbling - check out Dr. LeMay (he’s in CA, but treats people out of state too) about your grumbling tummy, he helped my stomach issues that I’ve had going for past 5-9 years. I’m now completely recovered!
He also mentioned that: “Flu is not a season, it is the inability to adapt due to decreased sun exposure & water intake combined with increased sugar intake & stress.”
I’m sharing this in general - I don’t know how much or little of the sun you guys get and etc. but this is what the holistic doctor shared & I’m sharing with you :)
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll look into it. I'm waiting to wean before I get more bloodwork done and make a more concrete plan health wise. For me, when I'm nursing and not sleeping, everything is out of whack so when I've tried to work with a doctor to get things figured out, they usually just tell me to wait to wean and let my hormones and sleep stabilize and then we can make a real action plan.
We get lots of outdoors time, although sun is rare in the Midwest in the winter so not much we can do about that, but the rest of the year we're a big outdoors family. I'm really good with staying hydrated (perk of nursing - hydration is a big need!), working on eating less sugar and stress management, but also we're in a really full, busy season of life right now so stress comes with the territory.
